Just came across a lyrics website that has a new twist on things, so I thought I would mention it here. www.lyricstolyricsfor.com promises that they will employ no pop-up windows and no spyware or malware that are present on most of the major lyrics websites out there today. While most do not inject some kind of malware, some do. Just about all of the lyrics sites have pop-ups up the wazoo. Plus, these guys have a clean layout and break things down into a easy to use format. Imagine that.

Just put Rascal Flatts What Hurts the Most ringtone on my shiny Samsung Blackjack. Well, it is not shiny since it is black and all, but it is 3G lovely…slim and super fast broadband 3G speeds. I have to say that the whole ringtone crazy has got me by the horns and I get really giddy when I get a new one. Rascal Flatts is one of my favorite bands right now so this is pretty cool.

I was poking around earlier at Jason’s blog and found he did a review of binary newsgroup ISPs. I am not sure how many of you are familiar with binary newsgroups, but they are kind of the original Napster. The interesting thing is that they are still alive and well today. Not only that, but with the advances in bandwidth and technology, these have become a really efficient way to send someone a file and not have to pay to host it someplace. Pretty cool.

I was just poking around, wasting some time and I think I found the first ringtone that I will put on my Cingular 8125. It is the Halloween movie theme ringtone that still brings out feelings of paranoia and fear in me. I am 6′4″ and that theme song still scares the crap out of me! John Carpenter is probably responsible for millions of people exhibiting Pavlovian reflexes of shear terror in response to his movie theme. Thanks.

I have always been a huge fan of the arcade game. As a young kid in Los Angeles, I used to go to Captain Video’s Arcade on Pico Boulevard with my friends and dump the $20 my mom gave me on Tron, Zaxxon, Defender, Dragon’s Lair, etc for hours on end. Well, these machines are still around, but if you run into a problem, and you will, what do you do if you need to get your game fixed? Aside from searching all over the place, you can get your arcade games repaired at www.irepairsega.com. Ken is one of the only people in the United States that has the ability to work on the old Sega boards and machines as he worked there for many years. So, if you have a Sega, or other arcade game, that needs repair, give Ken a holler.

It is no secret that there is big money in ringtones these days. Carriers and music labels are making a lot of money selling ringtones for cellphones and mobile phones. Sony Ericsson just proved that this is the case when they released their profit numbers for their music phones recently.

Got a phat new Xbox 360? Well, then you better get yourself one of these fancy dancy USB wireless network adapters for your 360. I don’t know if there are other USB adapters that work with the xbox 360, but the two I plugged in didn’t…but, why would they? Microsoft’s wireless adapter works like a champ and keeps wire clutter down to a minimum. They need to make everything wireless in my opinion.
Features:
- Powered by Xbox 360 to eliminate adapter clutter
- Streams photos and music from Microsoft Windows XP and recorded TV, movies and videos from your Microsoft Windows XP Media Center-based PC
- Chat with friends and transfer videos and music all without cables and clutter

I just picked up a Vodafone wireless broadband card for my upcoming trip to Italy, well it is my honeymoon. I picked up some advice from a local Italian techno-geek, like myself, that this was the best solution to get wireless internet access when I am in Italy. Hopefully, it won’t cost me an arm and a leg as I am sure that I won’t be using it too much while I am there. But, if anyone has any pointers on the service offered in Italy I am all ears.

Why is it that we can build stealth fighters here, but we can’t deploy high speed wireless technologies as fast as they do in Europe? Maybe someone can explain this to me. I understand people want to make money, but if you are going to upgrade your network to one standard, why not just skip a generation or two so that we can be on par with networks that are deployed all over the world already? Ok, I am done with my rant now.
During the year, 3G broadband will be progressively extended to other cities (Porto, Braga, Coimbra, Aveiro and Leiria this June) and regions of mainland Portugal and the islands, reaching the main urban areas by the end of the year. When a customer moves into areas still without 3G Broadband coverage, the Vodafone 3G Broadband Mobile Connect Card automatically switches to 3G or GPRS, which are available throughout Portugal.

Don’t feel like paying $2 a ringtone for your sweet new phone? No problem. All you need is My Ringtone studio and you are ready to start pumping out free ringtones of all of your favorite songs in a matter of minutes. This is not brain surgery and that is why all of the phone manufactrers are making so much money from ringtone sales right now. They had me making ringtones in a few minutes after I installed the software. Don’t know how, don’t worry.
Features:
- CD-ROM
- Convert any CD track or Audio File (MP3, WAV, OGG) into a ringtone.
